INTRODUCING TINA TRAN

I am an aspiring Interior Designer studying at Highline College. One of the reasons why I fell in love with interior design is because I am able to create a space that help others tell a story while combining my own sense of style which utilizes biophilic and organic elements. I firmly believe that your space should be your place of comfort - It’s where celebrations are held, a place to unwind, and where you can express yourself as time goes on. However, interior design to me isn’t just about putting a space together and it certainly does not fit into a standard mold. It’s a never ending learning experience beyond trends and laying out “nice” pieces. It's been a truly humbling journey being able to learn about different cultures and the history behind it. Something I aspire to work towards is being able to design with an eco-conscious mindset to help inspire and encourage sustainable living. As Issey Miyake, a Japanese designer said, “design is not for philosophy, it’s for life.”
